This book by Dr. Tony Evans proves that you are where you are because of how you speak. There is life and death in the power of the tongue. The tongue was meant to uplift and edify not to tear down, or to speak death over things in our lives or those around us. We can glorify God by speaking faith and prosperity, or glorify the enemy by complaining and speaking death. Dr. Evans says ," The tool behind your teeth, the tongue, can influence your world for good or for bad." I was encouraged by this book because I want to be blessed, but I have to watch what I say. I want the blessings not the curses. It doesn't matter what I am dealing with I must speak life over my situation for it to change. God brought the earth into fruition just by speaking. Dr. Evans also says that," You have to bring your tongue under control rather than letting it control you." How many of us have had that problem? Read this book if you want to be challenged. Dr. Evans offers keys to help you transform your life. It begins with the power of the tongue, and concludes with what the Bible says about our words. Our words will always matter. Our words push us forward and our words can make us fall behind. We get to choose, Choose life.

Dr. Evans teaches very practical applications of what the Bible has to say about what we say, how we say it, why we say it, and the implications and ramifications of what we say. For years, I've known and even memorized verses about this topic, but Dr. Evans adds depth and nuance I've never heard or considered to many of those verses. This is not a dry, dusty time full of lofty cliches. Rather, it is extremely practical and easy to read and understand. I say easy to read, but if we're honest, the teachings here are a challenge to apply. Nonetheless, this book has changed my life and what I say, both verbally and in my mind. Thank you, Dr. Evans!
Focused and straightforward,
