When the Hits Just Keep On Comin' There are small hits: The car won't start. You lose something valuable. It's raining on your five-hundred-person outdoor event. And there are big hits: She's diagnosed with cancer. You're being laid off. They're getting divorced. Regardless of magnitude, each trial causes us to ask, "Lord, do you really care?" Tony Evans bases his resounding, "Yes, He does!" on a thorough analysis of John 11. While interacting with Martha and Mary, who were reeling from news of their brother's death, Jesus' words and actions have much to say to us today. Before, during, or after you're assaulted by doubt, pain, confusion, disappointment, or grief, this powerful book will help you zero in on Christ to ensure that no crisis of any kind will ever shipwreck your faith.

This man was obviously put on this earth to reach out to people on God's behalf! He is able to take scripture and bring it to today's language so everyone can understand. Thank you Tony Evans!

This is a wonderful book that will encourage you in God's care and love. Dr. Evans does a wonderful job of applying God's word to circumstances in our life that are difficult and that have caused us to become discouraged. I've read chapters in this book that have really convinced me that God cares deeply about me and what I go through. I've learnt that even when He may seem distant, He has us safely protected in His hands. He loves us dearly and is intimately involved in our lives.

So often when we are facing trials and tribulations we can begin to feel as if God has left us alone and He does not see all that we are having to endure. Nevertheless, Tony Evans shows us how God not only cares about all that we are going through but He is actually there with us. This book is a great encouragement for many people who are experiencing hard time right now due to economic downturn and the rise in unemployment. Through reading this book you'll learn how to see the love God has for you even through your pain.
